St Nicholas, Buckenham

The impressive church of St Nicholas lies peacefully surrounded by trees and fields near the River Yare

It has a rare thirteenth-century octagonal tower and its interior was restored in the early 19th century. You can find beautiful stone carving within the church, lovely Victorian glass to examine as well as a 15th-century font.

St Nicholas is no longer used for regular worship. Now under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, it is usually open during daylight hours.
