Guided Railway Walk: Buckenham to Brundall

Date: Sunday 8 April 2018
Distance: About 3.5 miles

Walk leader: Trevor Garrod
Start time: Catch the 09.36 train from Norwich to Buckenham. For travellers from other stations, please note that we aim to meet at Buckenham station by 10:40.
Details: A Wherry Lines walk from peaceful Buckenham on the edge of the Broads National Park, past two RSPB reserves, along footpaths and quiet lanes to bustling Brundall
Note: Please note that Buckenham is a request stop

This guided walk is free to train ticket holders. Please remember to wear suitable shoes or boots and bring a packed lunch and drink with you, as not all walks pass a pub or café.

The train time provided is for travellers from Norwich; please check train times if you are coming from elsewhere. We aim to arrive back in Norwich by 17.00 at the latest.

When you buy your rail ticket, please bear in mind that not all walks start and finish at the same station.

Dogs are welcome and there is no charge for them on the train. Please keep your dog on a lead at all times as walks sometimes pass through fields with livestock and nature reserves.

The guided railway walks are led by Mike Bugden, Eileen Oliver and Trevor Garrod. Between them, they have been guiding walks for more than a decade. New walk leaders and route suggestions are always welcome.
